Yes, She's Still a Doll

Am I allowed to complain?  She's terribly cute...and makes up for any bit of complaints.  Ok, here's the issue: this girl has a new found talent...breaking a swaddle!  It wouldn't be an issue until it's the middle of the night and she's hitting herself in the face, then thrashing around.  The first time it happened, I nursed her, swaddled her, and rocked her to sleep.  This continued a few nights, then my brain started working.  I got up and just swaddled her and she went right back to sleep.  The other night, I tried to help her fall asleep without swaddling...it just tortured us both.  So...I am awaiting a baby straight jacket essentially hoping it's the answer to our middle of the night wake ups.

She's in 3-6 month clothes now...she's the size of a mini monster compared to our neighbors 1 month old who we were informed weighs currently 6lbs.  These pictures start kind of showing how cute she gets.  When you get her to really smile she starts bunching into a ball like a little rollie pollie and hides her smiles from the instigator.  She's also become a drool machine, so out pop those cloth bibs to save on outfit changes in the day.  I forget how 3 month olds are hard.  She can't pick up anything with her hands intentionally.  She just wants undivided attention when she's not napping, which naps have gotten less frequent.  It's works out well for me most times unless the normal household chores have been put off too many times due to turning my time to her.  Hard not too.  Still awaiting the milestone of rolling over...

    1. The timing was impeccable because after this post I found we have a colony of ants living in our bathroom in a hole in the caulk. Pretty sure my lack of housework (which I didn't think was quite this terrible) has led to some bothersome consequences. Ha! Aside from constant cleaning until we can have the apartment get an exterminator...my dinners have gotten more lame so I can still catch my baby time ;)
