Hello Peach Festival!!

Schnepf Family Farms in Queen Creek, AZ offers this AWESOME peach festival!!  We heard about it last week and knew there was one more week of it and decided it was totally worth dropping Jimmy off at work nice and early to head out to this.  It was even better than Oregon's peach picking as there were several carnival-like attractions.

Logan...showing off his ticket to get ourselves a peach pancake and sausages for breakfast.  The griddles were serious business with hot coals underneath and smelled so good...we couldn't wait!

My favorite...he knows I'm taking a picture and wants to smile, but is too distracted working on snagging some peaches.

This bug was incessant during the pictures!  We got this pile of peaches within probably 20 minutes...so much fun!!  And such a perfect day!

What boy says no to jumping on a tractor?  Certainly not this one...of course, he asked how to make the thing go.  The disappointment was shortly lived.

Our loot...

Museum with Friends

I always know it was great fun when Logan talks about the fun time we had the following day.  We just had so much fun with these friends of ours!!  Can hardly wait for the next time we can do something with them again!

We've been to this museum several times now and had no idea they have a sand pit and then these fun things to crawl in.  They were running around in circles having a blast.

Such a mom trooper.  These kids definitely got a treat going through the bike car wash!

Guess Who?

This is going to be REALLY hard ;) Guess who had the camera?

Every now and again a lucky shot happens, but most of the time Logan has the most flattering of shots.  These pictures were taken actually at Veteran's Oasis Park.  What a relaxing park.  There was a nice little lake and along the way were small scale landmarks of the solar system.  Just nice to get out.  I keep hearing we're having an unusual May for how nice the weather is.  I'll take it!  Today is mid 70's, maybe it get's to low 80's.  But like I said, if this is what unusual is, great!!

Total side note, I think the closer I get to having this baby the more blog posts I seem to be posting.  Anything to get this time to go by faster.  Really excited to hold our girl. 37 weeks today, bam!!

Success

Logan: Mom, I'm really going to miss you.
Mom: Why are you going to miss me?
Logan: You're going to die tomorrow (in a serious face)
Mom: I'm not going to die tomorrow (inside, I *hope* I'm not going to die tomorrow.  Does he know something I don't?).

Success: Tomorrow was yesterday...I didn't die :)

Riparian Preserve

We had a little adventure.  Thanks to a recommendation from a friend we checked out the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert, AZ.  Logan loved loved loved it!  It was pretty awesome with the trails and wildlife.

Logan is acting like a duck...because ducks are so foreign to us ;)  More or less...it was great to catch some shade.

And there...can you see it?  A wild rabbit.  There were so many rabbits.  Then we kept running into turtles.  We forgot to bring some bird seed to feed at the lake there, but was fun to watch others get flocks of birds after the seed.  Definitely going again...extra bonus...it was free!

I will say...not that I'm asking to see one.  In our time in Arizona we have yet to see a scorpion.  We hear of others spotting them at times, but thankfully we have yet to be blessed with that sort of Arizona sighting.  Probably now that I mentioned it, it will be our next adventurous post...

Before I forget, we went to the Fractured Prune.  Have you ever had those hot just off the fryer donuts?  The last time I remember them was some donut holes in San Francisco.  SOOOO good!  I am absolutely not a donut lover, but man alive the Fractured Prune (side note: isn't it a terrible name?  All I can think of are the prunes served up at the nursing home for you know what...it turned me off from this place).  ANYWAYS, you could watch the donuts being freshly made and then mix and match toppings.  Jimmy was overjoyed to find there is a donut place in this world his wife will actually crave, haha.

How to Feed a Baby

Oh...the thought process.  This conversation started innocent.  Previous to this video Logan was asking how he could have it so dad was home all the time and mom was working.  I asked him, "well, who would feed the baby when it comes?"  He said, "well, dad and I could feed it."  I said, "does your body make milk, the baby needs special milk?"  The wheels were turning...and it led to this video...

Pregnancy Countdown

Definitely at 35 weeks...just wishing it was 41 weeks and "go time".  So excited for this little one to get here!  Thought I'd get in a most recent selfie, as taking pregnant photos is a rarity, but for family and friends near and far there I am in all my glory.

Spoke to my OB today and told her about all my tossing and turning at night.  I said "I bet I might get more sleep with a newborn or at least I'll get more restful sleep in between the baby waking."  In the back of my mind I know this is a delusional thought.  Just miss my pregnancy with Logan and getting SOLID sleep until the day he was born.

Talk about dreading a project, this one would be it.  Only procrastinated for 4 years...FINALLY done.  "Yay" for success..."Boo" for scrapbooking.  It simply is just not my thing!

So, I totally am sick of Logan asking every day, sometimes 3-4 times a day if it is June yet.  He knows that baby is due in June.  Needing something more concrete for him to see.  All the orange circles are the days left in May...and all the red are the possible days of still being pregnant in June.  SOooo hope this works!  Then...there is the whole issue of "look how many dang links to the chain there are left".  I keep hearing I'm so close, but I don't know...it still looks daunting :P

Life with a Logan

Logan: Can I have a raptor as a pet?
Me: No

Logan: How about a falcon?
Me: How are you going to get a falcon?
Logan: Catch one, I saw one out here on the neighbors roof.  I wonder what they eat.
Me: I don't know what they eat.  Maybe mice or dead animals.
Logan: We should look it up on the computer.
Logan: Can you get me special gloves to catch a falcon? I think I need hockey gloves.
Me: (can you hear his wheels turning) You can save your money and get that special glove yourself.

Such a party pooper...

Beyond these ridiculous sort of conversations...he has found renewed interested in this stuffed dragon he affectionately has named "Cutie".  Well, it comes with us just about everywhere.  I can feel Jimmy cringe every time Logan refers to things as "cute" which is rather frequent, haha.  Anyhow, this dragon then morphed into the stuffed T-Rex needing to tag along.  Now they are called the "cubs" and suddenly they both have to go everywhere, otherwise (heaven forbid) these "cubs" will be scared.  Then a couple days ago...they grew...now there are 4 little stuffed animals.  Yup, they are NOT all coming with us...end of story.
