Riparian Preserve

We had a little adventure.  Thanks to a recommendation from a friend we checked out the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert, AZ.  Logan loved loved loved it!  It was pretty awesome with the trails and wildlife.

Logan is acting like a duck...because ducks are so foreign to us ;)  More or less...it was great to catch some shade.

And there...can you see it?  A wild rabbit.  There were so many rabbits.  Then we kept running into turtles.  We forgot to bring some bird seed to feed at the lake there, but was fun to watch others get flocks of birds after the seed.  Definitely going again...extra bonus...it was free!

I will say...not that I'm asking to see one.  In our time in Arizona we have yet to see a scorpion.  We hear of others spotting them at times, but thankfully we have yet to be blessed with that sort of Arizona sighting.  Probably now that I mentioned it, it will be our next adventurous post...

Before I forget, we went to the Fractured Prune.  Have you ever had those hot just off the fryer donuts?  The last time I remember them was some donut holes in San Francisco.  SOOOO good!  I am absolutely not a donut lover, but man alive the Fractured Prune (side note: isn't it a terrible name?  All I can think of are the prunes served up at the nursing home for you know what...it turned me off from this place).  ANYWAYS, you could watch the donuts being freshly made and then mix and match toppings.  Jimmy was overjoyed to find there is a donut place in this world his wife will actually crave, haha.
