He needs sleep

It was meltdown...then he's fine...meltdown...maybe we're okay...then meltdown again.  Logan crashed at 5:30pm.  He just woke up now at 6:30am.  Clearly he needs more sleep.

And that's how long it lasted...

Waking Logan up this morning for kindergarten...

Logan: I don't want to get up.
Me: It's school (thinking this will get him excited)
Logan: I don't want to go to school, it's boring!

And here I thought the excited for school train would last a lot longer.  Needless to say I dragged his sorry toosh off the bed.  He bunched up on the floor with his blanket covering his body like a rock covered in moss.  Then threats started spewing out of my mouth...it worked.  Snip snap snout, this tale's told out ;)

Making Friends

Aren't kindergartners the cutest!  I mean really they put arms around their friend by their own free will and choice.  They want hugs and kisses before leaving you and will only go if the teacher comes and grabs their hand.  They go on about how much they adore their teacher and how school is better than playing on the playground.  Does it make every mom ache seeing these moments?  It sure does for me because I know it won't last...savoring.  Thank you photography!

I rarely can post without including Miss Cuteness.  She's been having it rough with Logan bringing and sharing his cough/cold. Then she had shots in the midst of it.  So she's been gifted with some fevers as well.  She still smiles amidst it to warm our hearts...

This may appear confusing, but below is a face working into smiles and cooing.  She's darling...end of story.

Mom in case you read/see this...this girl is always in one of your cute outfits every day.  She had one on previous to this one.  It lasted what 3 hours and got spit up on and drenched in sweat.  I just need to time the moments with the camera better because her outfits she starts out in are to die for cute!  I guess I just noticed throughout the blog those outfits are almost never caught on camera.

Happy Birthday Logan!! Happy 1st Day of Kindergarten!!!

 It happened!  And all in the same day!!!  This boy turned 5 AND is a kindergartener.  When does that ever happen on the same day, especially at the very beginning of August.  Apparently it does in Arizona!

Naturally we celebrated his birthday a few days early...

Nana & Papa got him a tail.  He sleeps with it on.

We got him a bike...he loves it.  Every night so far is time to practice.  The neighbors got him a skateboard, so it's been bouncing between the two every evening.  Arizona heat lends to plenty of time to spend outdoors if we can stand our sweat, haha.

The heat just lulls this girl to sleep.

Meet the teacher night...she has a dinosaur!!  Didn't take long for Logan to find it.  If you can't tell from his smile, he was a little unsure of everything.  It was rather cute.

We are into SCARY dinosaurs.  Like disgustingly scary!

Logan requested pancakes with whipped cream on top!  I guess you get what you ask for on your first day of kindergarten, even if dad wasn't around to enjoy them as well!!  HUGE lines under the eyes.  We need to get used to waking up early every day.  

It may be the first and only time I multi task to the degree of trying to plug in the whisks to the kitchen aid, nurse the baby, and flip pancakes.  What a crazy morning!  How do people do it with more children?  Seriously.

Let it be known I did remember his name tag while getting ready in the morning and being the responsible person I am decided to hold off on him wearing his name tag so he didn't mess it up (he's a  messy eater).  Well, I managed to forget this teddy bear name tag all together!  There's so much to remember!!  We're almost to school when Logan reminds me I forgot it!  Blast it all!!  Bad mom award...great start with the school system forgetting something important, hah!  Well, he got over it...so did I!  

In the end, he was a little scared, but mostly excited.  It was so cute him saying "I love you mom" and hugs before standing in line to walk off.  Can't believe this day came!  Boy time goes too fast.  Love him!!

This Melts My Heart

This little girl woke up like this...she sure knows how to make us all smile in the mornings.  She was more than happy to be hanging out on dad's chest checking out the world.

Happy Birthday Jimmy-pants!!

Adults having birthdays are totally about the "help" kids can offer...or at least Logan thinks so.  He'll blow out the candles for you, come up with a birthday wish, help open presents, take out candles.  Everyone needs a Logan for their birthday ;)

It's ok, you can be amazed at my stunning cake making skills.  Love that ganache is so easy to make, looks and tastes beautiful.  Chocolate peanut butter perfection. So yummy!!

Baby Photos

Everly definitely gets her fair share of photos taken.

So...pretty sure this girl can't take me eating chocolate.  Trouble is I LOVE LOVE LOVE chocolate.  This is the result...being surrounded by burp rags (she looks so happy).  The girl becomes a fountain and it comes even 5 minutes to 1 hour after breastfeeding.  Thankfully she is a fountain that gains weight.  I barely zoned in on it likely being chocolate today, so life should be looking up for Everly.

Finally after many attempts this girl smiled for the camera...so cute!!  Melts all our hearts here.

Doesn't this photo make you laugh a face all covered in milk, grabbing a stuffed belly.  It's like Thanksgiving dinner.  Life is good!
