Baby Blessing

I was absolutely in love with how my mom made this dress...she made it better than I envisioned.  It's so whimsical and worked perfect for the blessing.  My mom made the point that Everly looked like she was surrounded by a flower with the tiers in the dress surrounding her.  It was a real challenge we came up with in February compliments of some Pinterest ideas, coupled with what was and wasn't available at the fabric store.

While in Oregon in February I also went through all my mom's stored old baby clothes and snagged this crocheted baby blanket loving the tiny crocheted details...so cute.  I grabbed it for this baby blessing to keep her warm, but had no idea that this was my own personal baby blanket made by Grandma Seymour.  Made the day a touch more special when my mom whispered that detail to me.

Meet the woman who made this gorgeous dress, even when it was out of her comfort zone of her type of style.  She's the best! Below is how Everly was held most the time as it was easier to have the dress supporting her, hence why she looked like she was surrounded by a flower.

The rest of church the little lady wore an adorable slip my mom made for under the dress.

Jimmy did perfect with the blessing.  Love him.
