Updating...

You know how it is when you have photos in multiple places.  Meaning...I have all my iphone pictures, then hubby's iphone pictures, then our actual camera pictures.  It's really ridiculous when updating a blog at all.  As soon as I reach for another device I realize, I can not leave out these photos...these ones below are just that story.  Hello my iphone...

Our ward had a hoe down of sorts and it was unreal the cuteness.  Logan initially started line dancing with Jimmy and I, then moved on to sitting with Nana and Papa.  Well...next he grabbed this cutie and started swinging her around.  In fact there was so much swinging around it was hard to get any sort of in focus shot.  This child LOVES dancing.

Story time...you ready...there are those moments in life you will never forget.  And this was one of those moments.  Katie and I were in the Children's Museum and "potty trained" Naomi (when are these toddlers really ever 100% potty trained anyways?) had an accident.  Well, Katie was going through her stuff and had nothing to dress her child in and turned to me.  I had nothing and the next move was to go home.  Then...the wheels were turning...that's right, I have the tutu Nana made for Naomi's birthday made for me.  Let's see if it can actually fit Naomi...it did and actually was terribly cute seeing this oversized tutu throughout the museum.

Our family had a get away from life trip to the Garden Resort near Silver Falls in Oregon.  It was one of those GroupOn deals.  It was just so fun to get away and enjoy some Christmas lights.

I was a little hesitant to post this photo as I do not have one for Robert...again...probably on something like Jimmy's iphone or some other families.  Robert arrived only the day prior from his mission.  It was so weird to have them home.  It gets to the point, you figure this is the normal life that they will forever be on their missions.

Joy School is a huge part of our lives.  It is 4 families joining together twice weekly doing preschool-like lessons.  It has been great getting to be great friends over the year and all the kids seem to look forward to it for the most part ;)  This was our library tour the Hillsboro Library gave.  As adults we seemed to need it ourselves.  I had no idea all the different things in the library...like the "Library of Things" or those day passes, kids music CD's in their own section.  The way the books are marked to point out ones you'd likely be interested in...need I go on.

More Joy School...this day we were learning to pretend.  The kids pretended they were in rocket ships going onto different planets and exploring how the ground felt, what they could see and do.  Super cute!

And the unexpected funeral...

My Grandpa Seymour passed away in a bike accident.  This trip was rather impressionable for Logan.  The road trip was enough to be ingrained into my memory.  We never did a road trip with multiple kids until this moment.  Katie and I had 4 kids 4 and under.  Owen was teething, Jack had a cold, and Logan had an attitude, and Naomi...well, she made for a wet adventure ;)  Then, there was the viewing.  Logan saw the "dead papa" and little did I know the millions of questions that would ensue.  He wanted to know,  why is he asleep?  where is his owie?  can i see the owie? wait, i have an owie, will i die?  when will i die?  when will he wake up?  will he live again?  what is that flag thing (is that his pillow)?  (then when the closed the coffin) someone else has his pillow (the flag).

I mean really...it was repeated questions, finding other people asking them and pointing to the coffin.  Really, how do you answer intense at times deep questions for a 3 year old.  I did my best, but needless to say it has been months of being fascinated with death.  He is a very curious sort of guy.

Haha...this photo was of the great grand kids singing.  Logan was apparently butting in too much which bugged the girl staring him down.  Naomi came to her mom afterwards stating, "oh man, those boys did not sing!"  It really was such a great funeral hearing all these great stories of my amazing grandpa.  He lived a great life.
