Taking Pictures

No one tells you how hard it is to take pictures of a baby until you are trying to get pictures of your own.  I kept seeing all these darling photos of others children and thought I definitely wanted some of my own.  SO...I went to etsy and bought this cute lion outfit and could not wait to bring out the camera and have my husband help in the process.  What a process it was...

Jimmy had to take the back drop (the sheet from out bed and hold it up high in the background.  Then magically I was in charge of getting the said cute picture.  You focus on one concept then you lose another.

A good start
Look!  He held still...and he clearly is thinking about smiling.  I was so proud and knew this was going to go real good.

Haha and downhill we go
He got the smile, but apparently smiling does not mean he's going to be still enough for our camera to get the shot.  Then the background got messed up with all that moving.  It COULD have been real cute :)  I just needed all the planets to align.

Yup, and eating the tail.

Creeping up to grab that camera to eat it.

Needless to say after this photo shoot I went straight to the internet and scheduled him for a photo shoot with JCPenney.  We did it this past Friday and it was worth every penny.  He could not get him to smile like we could, but hey I am not upset we are his parents after all.  Who wouldn't laugh at our goofy faces?  I guess from now on I know to leave the photo shoots to my dad or those paid to do it.

  1. Haha! This is a great post! It is a rude awakening huh!? I really struggle with newborns so I can't talk. If we are ever together, I will definitely take your sweet boy's pictures.
